Glossary¶
The terms you'll come across using Wably, explained simply.
Assistant (or bot) The AI-based system that replies to messages and manages appointments on your behalf.
WhatsApp Business The version of WhatsApp built for businesses. It's the channel Wably uses to talk to your clients.
Coexistence The mode that lets you use Wably on your current WhatsApp Business number: the assistant replies automatically while you keep using WhatsApp on your phone as always.
Google Calendar The Google calendar where Wably writes appointments and reads your availability.
Address book (Contacts) The Wably section with your contact list, where you choose who the assistant is active for.
Active / paused contact An "active" contact is one the assistant replies to; a "paused" one is left in silence.
Master switch The main control that turns the assistant on or off for all contacts.
Reminder The automatic message that reminds the client of the appointment the day before, at 11:00, with the option to confirm, reschedule or cancel in one tap.
Slot An available space in the calendar for an appointment.
Tone (Formal / Friendly) The style the assistant uses with clients: formal or friendly. Set from the Home screen.
Buffer (gap between appointments) The interval Wably keeps free between one appointment and the next.
Time zone (Timezone) Your business's time zone: the assistant uses it to suggest the right times, even to clients abroad.
Two-way sync The two-way connection with Google Calendar: Wably writes to your calendar and also notices the changes you make by hand.
Free trial The initial 30-day period in which you use Wably free of charge and with no commitment.
