Connect and import contacts

If you already have a client address book on Google, you can bring it into Wably. You connect it from the Google Contacts Setup screen.

How to connect your contacts

  1. Open Google Contacts Setup (from step 5 of Setup).
  2. Tap the connect button in the Google Contacts card.
  3. In the Google window, select the account and authorise access.
  4. When done, the card shows Connected successfully.

Importing and updating the list

Once connected, go to the Address book and use the Sync button to load or update your contact list.

No surprise messages

Imported contacts arrive with the assistant switched off: no one receives messages until you activate it, from the Address book.

Your contacts are safe

Wably imports and syncs contacts into its own protected storage, but it never deletes a contact from your Google address book: it can read and add, never remove. Your contacts stay 100% safe.

What's more, when a new client books for the first time, Wably creates the contact automatically, so you never lose a name.

From the Home screen you can also switch on a toggle that automatically adds the new contacts created from bookings to your Google address book — only if you want to.

The connection status is always visible on the Home screen, under Integrations Status.
