Reviews: why you need plenty of them, and how to collect them without asking by hand¶
Before booking, people look you up. And what they find, almost always, is your listing and its reviews. At that moment you aren't competing on the quality of your work: you're competing on what other people say about your work.
Why the number matters as much as the rating¶
Between a business with 8 reviews and one with 80, at the same star rating, most people pick the second: more reviews mean more confirmation, less perceived risk. And recent reviews weigh more than old ones: a listing that hasn't moved in a year signals less reliability than one getting feedback every week.
The practical consequence: having good reviews isn't enough. You need a steady flow of new ones. And a steady flow doesn't happen on its own.
Why almost nobody asks¶
The reason listings go quiet isn't a shortage of happy clients: it's that asking for a review out loud is awkward, and remembering to do it after every appointment is unrealistic. On busy days, the request gets skipped. Always.
Yet the right moment does exist, and it's short: shortly after the appointment, when the experience is fresh and the willingness to leave a couple of lines is at its peak. We covered this in asking patients for Google reviews: the timing matters more than the message.
How it works with Wably¶
Wably turns the request into an automation: after the appointment it sends the client, without you having to remember, a message with the review link you chose (your Google listing, or whichever platform you prefer). The request goes out by email or in the WhatsApp chat, and is sent only once per client: no repeated nudges, no requests that feel like spam.
You set the link once, in the dashboard. From then on every completed appointment becomes a chance for a review, and the listing grows at the pace of your actual work. The details are on the automatic reviews page.
It's the part of reputation that takes no talent, only consistency. And consistency is exactly what you can delegate to a machine.
